In Stichworten mein „Yoga-Werdegang“:
Yoga resume Kristine Sandkuehler-Mensch 2016

Kelly Fleet Gilbert

„I started practicing Yoga eight years ago when I read about how it could help runners with knee issues and got serious with my own practice about six years ago when I thought running was out of the question for me. My journey down this path brought me to Yoga Life Studio in Jacksonville, Florida. It was at Yoga Life that I first met Kristine.

Kristine was still in teacher training, but I was in awe of her practice. It wasn’t until I started taking her classes that I developed a true affection and love for Yoga. Her instruction pushed me physically, mentally, & spiritually.

Physically, Kristine challenged, not just me, but all her students because she saw the limitations we imposed on ourselves and helped us break down those limitations. She tweaked our poses and showed us how to find our edge, but not cross it.
I found Kristine pushing me mentally when she helped me find my edge. I realized through the years of her teaching me to find my edge that I was my own worst enemy. I put boundaries on myself not only in Yoga, but in life. Overcoming the boundaries I set on myself in Yoga helped me break through the boundaries I set on myself in my own life.
Spiritually is where I have benefited most from Yoga. Kristine taught me how to „be still“, how to meditate. My own faith had been on shaky ground for a few years. Learning how to meditate has deepened my relationship with Christ. The first thing I do in the mornings now is say my prayers and meditate. I owe my deepened and renewed faith to Kristine’s classes. This renewed connection has deepened all other aspects of my life and I am forever grateful to her for this.“

„We went from being co-trainees in the teacher training program to a teacher-student in class and I enjoyed every bit of it. You need to attend one class of Kristine’s and you can tell that she has a passion for yoga and Ashtanga, in particular. She guides you in class, assists you as needed and encourages your practice – she is very thorough and has a wealth of knowledge to share – so don’t miss out on an awesome opportunity to let her help you !“

Susan Cohn

„Kristine is an amazing teacher.  She consistently reinforces what yoga is truly about – breath and mind.  She teaches with compassion and understanding, while encouraging you to challenge yourself if it’s right for you to do so.  As she gets to know your individual practice, she thinks about it off-the-mat, striving to learn and then apply what techniques would work best for your individual practice.  Kristine is constantly learning and encourages you to do the same.  Through her teaching, I have found those sweet spots in my practice – the place where stillness and movement come together is simply ashtanga.  Thank you Kristine!  We love and miss you!“

Susan Terbrueggen – 55

„I had the pleasure of knowing and studying yoga with Kristine Sandkuehler-Mensch. I started practicing yoga late in life. I thought maybe too late to do anything really athletic. I had heard Kristine’s class was just that – athletic/powerful. I asked her what she thought about me coming to her class. She welcomed me with open arms. She made everything seem possible. And although I am still on my journey – more is possible than I ever imagined.

Kristine not only taught with clear and concise instruction and valuable adjustments – she also lead by example. On occasion she would become the student in a class where someone else was teaching. Kristine had an amazing practice – truly breathtaking to watch.  Kristine became pregnant during this period of time.   In the most advance stages of pregnancy – her practice was even more beautiful and inspiring.

Our entire yoga community was sad to see Kristine leave.    Thankfully, the lessons that she imparted to us of yoga and life in general live one…………………“

„I began yoga due to an injury I suffered while running across the street with my daughter to avoid the rain. Yoga has made my muscles not only strong and lean but also flexible. After each one of Kristine’s classes my muscles felt relaxed and much stronger; to the point where I began seeing the muscle definition in my legs and arms. With her unique approach to yoga, detailed instruction and hands on approach when correcting my poses Kristine has helped my yoga practice improve quickly. As a new practitioner to Yoga I needed Kristine’s approach. As a seasoned practitioner the Kristine’s approach still hold true.“

Jon Patton

„Kristine was my yoga teacher over the course of 2 years. This included being one of the main instructors in a 250 hour teacher training program. I have practiced yoga for over 10 years and Kristine was one of the best teachers I have worked with. She is a dedicated student of yoga practice and philosophy and a passionate teacher. Kristine is warm and compassionate but not afraid to push her students. I would highly recommend her as a teacher. „

James Alabiso

„Kristine literally opened the door to practicing Ashtanga in my life. There is a certain sense of focus and passion for the practice in her teaching that is rare to find. Kristine always seemed to know where I was in my practice, physically and energetically. I still consider her to be my primary teacher for knowledge and guidance. We miss her dearly in the states.“
